It’s been a loooong time since we’ve had a traditional homework assignment. That probably means we’ve built up some slack and perhaps stumbled into some problems. Without the guidance of your fellow Fribrarians, you may be pondering some unknowns you want solved. As such, the main assignment is: Bring topics for us to debate or problems for us to solve. We could be debating your solution to a problem as well.
For extra credit answer two questions: How am I just now hearing about this and why aren’t we doing this to get rich?
Check out the latest updates to IFF:
- Scott Flansburg is the Human Calculator. Consider his skills. You may have known that one is the loneliest number, but did you know that nine is the most important number? Also, what are your views on his fix to the calendar?
- Do you agree with Mike Huemer that Han JUSTIFIABLY shot first?
Jams (in a way): A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs. I was late to learning about this but dove right in. It is a ten-year podcast project begun in 2018 that will span the history of rock and roll from 1938 to 1999. It took some dedication, but I am now up to date with episode 177. I’ve found it very informative and rewarding. Here is an article about the podcast from The New Yorker.
Lots to cover. See you Sunday!
